Mosquito Minor Win Silver in the Toyota Tyke Tournament

The team had a fantastic showing at the Toyota Tyke Tournament in Cambridge. The boys lost the first game and came back playing hard to win 3 straight games to make it to the finals. In the final game the team came up just short of the gold and took home the silver medal for Riverside. We are so proud of the boys for how hard they worked and how they never gave up right to the end. Good job Royals! Thank you to the parents and family members who came to support the team all weekend and thank you to the coaches who work so hard with our boys. It was a great weekend.

Victory in the Pouring Rain

On Wednesday evening the Mosquito Minors played their second game against the Tecumseh Minors. The rain was pouring but our dedicated team played on. Our boys stayed focused and battled through the rain, cold and injuries and were victorious! They beat Tecumseh 10-1. Congrats to our pitchers who pitched a no hitter game and our players who defended the field so well! Awesome job! Bring on the Oxy Clean it was a messy one. Go Royals!

Winning Week for the Mosquito Minors

Our Mosquito Minors had a great week this week with two big wins. On Wednesday we played LaSalle Majors and beat them 18-1. This evening the boys continued their winning streak with a 28-4 victory over Walker Homesites. Keep up the good work boys!

Game 1

Our boys played a great first game of the season. We lost to Tecumseh 8-4 but the boys had a chance to get rid of some of the nerves of this new season. To quote an email Coach Darren sent out…

“In Baseball if you’re not failing once in a while you’re not trying hard enough. Failure followed by a commitment to improve leads to growth and that’s what we need from our players.”

Keep up the hard work Royals!
